Penis Size

How Can You Tell If Your Penis Is Too Small?

Men all over the world worry about the size of their penis; whether it is constant or passing, the thought has a habit of occurring.  But when is it time to seriously consider penis enlargement, and how can anyone really know if their penis is too small?

The Average Penis Size

Average Penis SizeThe most obvious place to start is by measuring the penis.  There is a right and wrong way of doing this.  When people talk about the length of a penis, in most cases they are referring to it in its erect state.  To measure the penis, men should achieve an erection and measure the underside of the penis, from the base to the tip of the head.

Statistically, the average penis is between 5.1 and 5.9 inches long.  Most men will be satisfied if their penis falls within these guidelines and positively beaming should they find that their penis is officially “above average”.  It should be noted though that, many men will find that their penis is shorter than the average size.  Though this is the case, their penises will still be classed medically a being a normal size.  Only penises which are below two inches would be classed as abnormally short.

Micropenis

Micropenis is a condition whereby the penis is not formed properly, making it short.  This can be due to many factors such as lack of androgens whilst in the foetal stage.  The lack of hormones may inhibit the growth of the penis.  Many cases of micropenis will be diagnosed during infancy.  Sufferers of micropenis may resort to surgery in order to rectify the problem.

Psychological Reasons for Penis Enlargement

ConfidenceFor many men, realising that their penis is average in length or below average but still normal will not be enough to ease their concerns.  Some may still have that nagging voice telling them that their penis is far too small to satisfy their partners and that every man they meet probably has a larger penis than they do.

For these men, they will have to determine how much of this thought process rules their life and what affect it is having on them.  Some may be able to overrule the thought and decide that they should just be happy with what they’ve got.  Others though may become so consumed with feelings of inadequacy that they notice themselves withdrawing from society, family members and even their partners because of the idea that their penis is making a mockery out of them as a man.

Guidance counselling for these thoughts and feelings may help ease the situation somewhat, but many men would prefer to take a different course of action which sees physical results rather than delving into their own psyche too much.

Physical Reasons for Penis Enlargement

For those who suffer from extremely small penises, penile functions may suffer from the lack of size.  Men may feel as though they cannot truly satisfy their partner during sex because their penis is too small.  They may have trouble being able to penetrate their partners in certain positions which could lead to moments of embarrassment and frustration.  In the most severe cases, some men may even find it difficult to urinate whilst standing.  This is extremely rare and occurs mostly with men who suffer from micropenis; however, the results are always the same.  Men find this situation extremely debilitating, often feeling as though they have somehow lost all masculinity.

Considering Penis Enlargement

For men with any of the problems mentioned, penis enlargement may seem like it is the answer to all their troubles.  Problems can occur if the wrong method of enlargement is chosen and does not give satisfactory results.  Unfortunately there are many companies these days which take advantage of men who are going through emotional and psychological turmoil and eel products which promise the world but never deliver.

Whilst considering penis enlargement, the reasons for doing so should be clear.  Talking to a professional and seeking advice on the subject should be one of the first options.  Doctors are quite used to having open and frank conversations with men who are dissatisfied in this particular area.

If penis enlargement is decided on, more options are presented, the best of which are surgery or penis extender devices.

  • Surgery – As with all methods of surgery there are risks involved with penis enlargement surgery.  However with this kind of forgery there added risks which could affect the penis and its functionality negatively in a permanent way.  This option should really only be chosen in extremes cases, if there is no other option available.
  • Penis extender devices – Penis extender devices use the age old method of traction to put tension on the penis and stretch it.  New tissue is formed, creating a longer, thicker penis.  The system is not invasive at all and is risk free for the user.  In addition to this, the price of a penis extender is considerably cheaper than that of any of the surgeries available.  For safety, effectiveness and economic reasons, this is without a doubt the best option for men who want to increase the size of their penis.
