Could the Ideal Penis Size be Smaller Than You Think?

Happy Woman

Technology has always gone hand in hand with sexuality. The adult entertainment industry, for example, was the driving force behind online payment options, the rise of the VHS video tape and even the technology behind streaming video. So it should come as no surprise that studies in sexuality have also made use of emerging technologies.

In September of 2015, a group of researchers set out to find out an answer to the age old question about penis size – what do women actually want? For years, the only way for women to report on what size penis they prefer was to give measurements strictly by the numbers. While this was fine from a data point of view, it presented problems for the women since thinking about penis size solely in terms of numbers is a pretty abstract way to give an opinion.

3D PrinterBut with the advent of easy and accessible 3D printing, suddenly researchers had a whole new way to go about the process. Researchers working out of the University of California in Los Angeles created a range of penises with 3D printing technology that they were able to use to show women and find out what they prefer both in terms of a one night stand and longer relationships.

Needless to say, this hands on approach yielded some interesting results.

The women in the study were presented with a number of 3D penises and asked which one they’d like to have for a one night stand and which one they’d prefer for a long-term partner. On average, women did choose a penis of a slightly above average length and girth for a one night stand. But when it came to the perfect fit for a long-term partner, the sizes were a bit smaller.

For a one night stand or casual partner, women chose a penis that was about 6.4 inches in length and 5 inches in circumference. When it was time to make the same choice for a long term partner, they cut it a little short, opting for 6.3 inches in length and 4.8 inches in circumference. This may seem like a small change to some, but men with experience in using penis enlargers or other size enhancement devices know that that this contrast makes a huge difference.

The study included an admittedly small sample size, only 75 women, but the success of this study will undoubtedly inspire others. More to the point, it offers a truly unique insight into how women perceive size in a real and tangible way.

The effects of this study have been felt not only by men with concerns about size, but also the entire male enhancement industry. Other studies conducted over the past few years have helped to refine the efficacy of penis enlargers, which has sent sales through the roof.

But now the question has become which men really need to use penis enlargers for size and which simply need to work on their overall self-esteem and sexual technique. Of course, penis enlargers can help in these areas too since using an enlarger often boosts a man’s sexual self-confidence and added length can make certain positions easier to do.

Overall, this study – and future ones like it – will be able to give men a better understanding of how they can please their partner. The fact is size DOES matter, but only when it’s backed up by knowing how to use it. For men struggling with a decision on whether or not to undergo enlargement, these studies could mean the difference between a futile search for answers and truly effective action.
